Jamey Johnson’s annual Homecoming concert events raised more than $200,000 for the Nikki Mitchell Foundation to help fight pancreatic cancer.
The Homecoming Weekend, held annually in Johnson’s hometown of Montgomery, Alabama, combines a celebrity golf tournament with a multi-artist benefit concert. The event has grown each year since its inception, bringing together some of country music’s biggest names to raise money for pancreatic cancer research and patient services.
“I love Montgomery. I’ve always loved Montgomery,” Johnson says. “To get to come home every year and do this and raise this money for the Nikki Mitchell Foundation means the world to me.”
