Jamey Johnson, Kenny Rogers Lead Randy Travis Tribute

? Back to News December 8, 2016

Country Music Hall of Fame member Randy Travis will be celebrated with an all-star tribute concert when dozens of his fellow artists gather for “1 Night. 1 Place. 1 Time.: A Heroes & Friends Tribute to Randy Travis” at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on February 8th.

The lineup features Travis’s fellow Hall of Famers Alabama and Kenny Rogers, along with Rodney Atkins, Chris Janson, Jamey Johnson, Montgomery Gentry, Michael Ray, Ricky Skaggs, Michael W. Smith, the Randy Travis Band, Tanya Tucker and Josh Turner.

A key player in country music’s neo-traditionalist movement of the mid-Eighties, Randy Travis combined his deep baritone voice with pure honky-tonk tunes, scoring major hits with such now-classics as “On the Other Hand,” “Diggin’ Up Bones” and “Forever and Ever, Amen.”

A portion of the proceeds from this special concert event will go to the Randy Travis Foundation, a non-profit organization that raises funds for stroke research and rehabilitation.
